NTSA Newsletter January, 2012
Happy New Year! Apologies that this greeting is so slow in coming. Time has a way of passing by too quickly. I hope that you were able to spend time with your family and friends during the holiday season—and that some of that time was restful and reflective. 2012 seems to have arrived with a lot of activities. The calendar for Suzuki events looks very active and attractive. I want to remind you of NTSA and SAA events so that you can add them to your calendar. Also, I would like to encourage each of you, as you think through your own resolutions, to make a commitment to continue to contribute to teacher development and student activities by active participation in both NTSA and SAA events. As you are no doubt aware, the quality of teacher training and opportunities for parent education has improved significantly over the past few years. That has come with much investment by the SAA. If it’s possible, I encourage you to make a financial contribution—either to the Annual Fund of the SAA or to a scholarship fund of the SAA or NTSA to assist in the continuing development of education for teachers and opportunities for students and families.
As you plan your participation and recommend activities for students, remember that scholarships are available. For more information and application forms, go to the NTSA Website: http://northtexassuzuki.org/
Here is a listing of some of the opportunities available to you in 2012. If you would like for me to add other activities to the NTSA website, please let me know.

Basic instructions for teachers registering their students on the website:
Once you have collected payments from a student who is participating in the trophy festival, go to the website www.trophyfestival.org and click 'Register Your Students' to add her/him to the list of your students who will be scheduled for the festival.
This process requires that you collect payment from the student before you register them so that you can input their registration and payment information into the site at the same time.
If you have any questions about using the trophy festival registration website (or any suggestions for the site), please email:
