Parking is available onsite. The Civic Center is about 20 minutes from my house, just to give you an idea of timing.
Please plan your travel carefully - our facilities rental is from 6-8:30pm and we need to make sure we start and end on time.
Dress code:
Jewel tones (any deep “wintery” color works!) or black/white
· Please make sure that any skirts are below the knee (you will be on a raised stage)
· Avoid neckties or bulky collars
· No heels
· Wear something comfortable that you would be proud to have your picture taken in
· Short fingernails
· Hair needs to be away from face
Santa hats or any other holiday-appropriate accessories are encouraged
· DO NOT WEAR anything noisy
· DO NOT WEAR anything that will block the line of sight for the person behind you
· DO NOT WEAR anything that makes it difficult for you to play well
Please bring:
- music stand
- music
- instrument
- something to share for the reception
- some family volunteers to help with setup and cleanup
Schedule:
6:00pm: set up
- PLEASE HELP! I'm asking for volunteers to help set up chairs and tables before we perform at 6:25. Many hands make for light work!
- I will help with this as best I can with setup, but will likely be helping students with tuning and any last-minute issues that may arise.
6:25pm: performance
- friends and family should plan to arrive around 6:15-6:20 unless they want to help with setup :)
~7:15pm: reception
· “WHAT SHOULD I BRING FOR THE RECEPTION?”
o Please bring anything you want to share! THE GOAL: easy to eat and easy to clean up J
§ Some ideas:
· finger food appetizers
· pizza
· cupcakes
· cookies
· cheese and crackers
· veggies and dip
· cut or small fruit
· I will provide plates, forks, napkins, and bottled water
· I will be gifting small holiday bags for students
8:00pm: cleanup
- PLEASE HELP! As with setup, I would deeply appreciate help with cleaning up the hall so we can leave it just as we found it. I understand that parents with small children may need to make a quick exit in order to get kiddos to bed, but if you are able to stay to help me with cleanup... please, please do!
8:30pm: out we go!
- Our hall rental expires at 8:30pm
