Student and Parent Information

Date: March 5, 2011

Time: 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM (String Festival)

9:00 AM to 12 PM (Piano & Harp)

Place: String Festival:

Bellaire Elementary School, 501 Bellaire Dr., Hurst, TX 76053

Piano and Harp Festival:

Suzuki Music Institute of Dallas, 508 Twilight Trail, Suite 105, Richardson, TX 75080.

Cost: $15.00 per student if your teacher is a NTSA member

$25.00 per student if your teacher is a non-NTSA member

Attire: Dress nicely—no jeans or T-shirts, please

Registration Deadline: February 11, 2011 (teacher deadline for submitting registrations is 2/18... you have a little wiggle room here but I do need your info ASAP - Christine)

Performance Guidelines:

• Parents, friends, and family members are welcome to attend
• Videotaping: please feel free to record your child’s performance
• Photos: please do not take photos until after the performance

Registration Guidelines:

• Give your teacher your payment by Friday, February 11
• Fees are to be collected by your teacher. Checks should be made out to North Texas Suzuki Association

• There will be no refunds

Music Requirements:

• Students may perform one of their most polished short pieces (not their newest piece) without piano accompaniment
• Music may be chosen from the Suzuki literature or outside the literature
• Music should be memorized.
• Each student must provide their original music with measures numbered for the clinician. No photocopies, please.
